The “RoboCode III” robotics coding camp, jointly organized by the Innovation Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (“ASAN xidmət”), “Bilişim Vadisi,” and “SAHA Robotics,” has concluded with the sponsorship of Expressbank.
At the closing ceremony, speeches were delivered by Vusal Rustamov, Director of the Innovation Center, Tuba Oztepe, Deputy CEO of “Bilişim Vadisi,” and Ayshen Hasanova, Head of Advertising and Marketing at Expressbank.
In her speech, Ayshen Hasanova emphasized the importance Expressbank places on youth education and their active involvement in technological innovation. She also expressed the Bank’s satisfaction in supporting such initiatives and contributing to the development of Azerbaijani youth. It was highlighted that investing in future-oriented fields such as robotics and coding plays a key role in strengthening the country’s digital ecosystem.
Following the opening remarks, a panel of judges evaluated the prototypes developed by the 5 finalist teams during the camp.
According to the results, “Qızılbaş” team won 1st place, “Soilmate” team took 2nd place, and “Spark Mind” team secured 3rd place.
The winners received various privileges from “SAHA Robotics” and “Bilişim Vadisi,” along with gifts from Expressbank. Additionally, the winning team that fully develops and completes its project will earn the opportunity to participate in the “Take Off Istanbul” startup summit.
It should be noted that the one-month camp received more than 150 applications, and 105 participants were selected based on established criteria. They received both online and offline training sessions. The program included technological topics such as “Fundamentals of ROS 2,” “SLAM Algorithms,” and “ROS 2 Tools and Creating Custom Environments in Gazebo,” as well as training in entrepreneurship and team building.
